The COA should also reference a specific batch number that matches the product you received, and it should come from a third-party laboratory — not the supplier's own testing facility.
How to Evaluate a Supplier's COA Documentation
When reviewing a supplier's COA documentation, ask: Is the COA batch-specific? Is the testing method specified as HPLC? Is the laboratory independent? Is the purity ≥99%? Is the COA current? A legitimate COA references a specific batch number. If a supplier provides a single COA for all batches of a compound, that's a significant red flag — it means they're not testing each batch independently.

If a supplier can't provide a COA for a compound, don't buy it. 'Research grade,' 'high purity,' or 'pharmaceutical grade' without a specific percentage are marketing terms, not quality standards.
